When discussing pedagogy, stay with the subject. Above discourse on Ranciere shows Rancieres attachment to three or four topics at once. The juggling may impress, but the discussion of pedagogy is nonsensical emotionalism.

Premodern pedagogy is traditionalist. It is teacher-centred with linear information systems, promoting deductive learning. The past shapes the present (tradition, customs, habit). Expository skills of teacher are central. Linear expositions form content of premodern knowledge base. The organisational culture is one of subordination in which a preponderance of social power is held by provider. Meek obedience is expected.

Modern pedagogy is progressivist. It is learner-centred with feedback information systems promoting inductive learning. The central skill of teacher is facilitation. The future shapes the present (goals, targets, objectives). Premodern knowledge base becomes flexible dues to updating.
The organisational culture is one of rule-based compliance in which relationship of facilitator and learner requires rules to govern right of learner to ask questions. Whereas the premodern is despotic, the Modern is legalist.

Postmodern pedagogy is present-oriented, process-centred. Enough for now. This is a brief extract from my model developed 1998 onwards.
