Plus, I trust they can both name all members of NAFTA and don't think global warming is just God hugging us closer. The odd (and merciful) flipside to how eight years of BushCo. failed to invigorate the American left is that the right botched the opportunity to transform the country into the military corporatist theocracy they dreamed of. Sure, they managed to destroy two sovereign nations, stimulate anti-Occidental sentiment worldwide, leave the world's lone superpower fiscally insolvent, and drench the Constitution in spit, but there were so many terrible things they DIDN'T manage to do. The overturn of Roe V Wade, a national "defense of marriage" amendment, the dismantling of the IRS, sealed borders, introducing creationism to science curriculum... none of these happened. Plus, they were so damned incompetent (or just brash) to have left more than ample evidence to drag 'em all into the ICC for their more heinous misdeeds.
